When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and basic profile information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed securely through Stripe — we do not store your credit card number or full payment details on our servers.
Assessment Data
When you complete a household preparedness assessment, we collect your responses to generate your personalized preparedness scores and recommendations. This data is associated with your account so you can access your results over time.
Email Subscriptions
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is shared with Mailchimp to manage email delivery. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Information from Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use our Website. This automatically collects pages you visit, time spent on pages, your general location (city/region level, not specific), device and browser information, referral source, and interaction data such as clicks and scroll depth. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data.
Information from Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our Website. Clarity collects mouse movements, clicks, and scroll behavior; anonymized session recordings (replays of how you navigate the site); heatmap data showing which areas of each page receive the most interaction; and page performance data such as load times and errors. Clarity automatically masks sensitive content on the page and does not collect passwords, payment information, or personal data from form fields.
2. How We Use Your Information
Account and Assessment Data
We use your account information to provide access to the PrepareRight platform, deliver your personalized preparedness assessment results and recommendations, and communicate important account-related updates.
Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity data to understand how visitors use our Website, improve Website performance and user experience, identify usability issues through session recordings and heatmaps (Clarity), test new features and content, and measure the effectiveness of our outreach.
Email Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send preparedness tips, guides, and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any email or by emailing us at dean@olsoncoaches.com.
3. Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is sent directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We receive only a confirmation of payment, your subscription status, and the last four digits of your card for reference. We never have access to your full card number.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Google Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics uses cookies to track your activity on our Website. These cookies are used solely for analytics purposes and do not identify you personally.
Microsoft Clarity Cookies
Microsoft Clarity uses cookies and local storage to record session data, including mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling behavior. Clarity generates session recordings and heatmaps to help us understand how visitors interact with our pages. Clarity does not track you across other websites and masks sensitive content by default.
Your Cookie Choices

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We Do NOT:
Sell your personal data to third parties, share your information with unaffiliated marketers, or provide your data to data brokers.
We DO Share Data With:
Stripe — to process payments (subject to Stripe's privacy policy). Mailchimp — to manage our newsletter (subject to Mailchimp's privacy policy). Google Analytics — to track Website usage (subject to Google's privacy policy). Microsoft Clarity — to record session behavior and generate heatmaps (subject to Microsoft's privacy policy). Render — our hosting provider (subject to Render's privacy policy). We may also share information with legal authorities if required by law.
6. Data Retention
Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion. Assessment Data: Retained with your account so you can track your preparedness over time. Email Addresses: Retained as long as you remain subscribed, or until you request removal. Analytics Data: Retained by Google Analytics per their standard policies (typically 14 months of inactivity); Microsoft Clarity retains session data for up to 30 days. Payment Data: Stripe retains transaction records per their policies and legal requirements.

7. Children's Privacy
PrepareRight is intended for adults managing household preparedness. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with information, please contact us at dean@olsoncoaches.com.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have certain privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed, the right to delete personal information collected from you, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information.

9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including secure HTTPS connections, encrypted payment processing through Stripe, and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
